Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some common questions we receive. If you do not see answers to your question, please Contact us today.

Does my child need a doctor's referral?

In most cases a doctor referral is not required to initiate services. If you have concerns about your child's development, contact us today and we will handle obtaining a referral from your child's primary care provider.

How frequent are therapy sessions?

The frequency and duration of sessions will depend on your child's needs. Speech-language sessions are 30 minutes in length, while occupational therapy sessions can range between 30 to 60 minutes in length.

What are your hours of operation?

Our therapists have flexibility in developing their own schedules. Each will work with you family to determine the optimal appointment timing to meet your child's needs.

Where do therapy sessions take place?

We offer therapy in locations convenient to your life. Our therapists are available in-home or can meet at community locations (parks, play grounds). We also offer teletherapy appointments online through a HIPAA secure platform.

Do you accept insurance?

Unlocking Potential accepts Medicaid and private pay for pediatric therapy services. If not in-network with your insurance, a superbill can be provided which can be filed with your insurance for potential reimbursement.

What is your therapeutic approach?

We believe change does not only occur during therapy. Our therapists will work to empower your family with tools, strategies, and resources to promote continued growth throughout your child's daily life.
